I picked up 5 tenths and 6mph leaving off of 1psi vs the M6. Not really built that much better than stock. HD clutchs and bands was it. Just freshend it up because my good friend builds trans and he was putting the Tbrake in it. The trans from salvage yard had 86000 miles on it. When we took it apart the clutchs and bands looked great but we were already there. So we freshed it up.

I will look into a junkyard 80e and put new cluthes and a shift kit. I hope that should be enough to hold my 600hp for a while. Do you think I could get by with a stock 80e convertor for awhile till I can get one like yours? Hows that stall wrking for you on the street and strip? Might get a t-brake to while I'm at it when I put a better convertor.
YC 106 http://www.converter.cc/crossmembers/ it's 195 plus shipping. I would do mine for 150.00 shipped.

I was asking for budget purposes. Like to buy the mount to move the torque arm off of the trans and then buy the torque arm. I'm a broke bitch, the navy is a stingy boss. I really want to get the torque arm off of the transmission but I dont want to fork over 500 or so bucks to get it done. That 150 looks alot nicer

at those levels I wouldn't even **** around with another **** ant 4l60e.
Get a crossmember with the tq arm mount and keep your eyes peeled for a pull out 2002+ 4l80e. I've seen 3 of them on craigslist in the past 4 months go for 4-500 bucks in working condition. FWIW I had a spohn tq arm and mount on my t56 iroc, with a spherical rod end. Made a little noise but drove great.

I have my little 4l60e at FLT right now. Vince is upgrading it to a level 5 4l65e with a trans brake. He has plenty of 10sec and a few 9 sec level 5s running around. If i had the funds for a fully built 4l80e i would have gone that route. But for the cost u cant beat it.

That really sucks about your tranny taking a dump on you man, I felt pretty bad for you, hearing you tell me about all the work you had done to your car. I hope it all goes well in finding a good replacement. In the mean time though, if you do need a ride somewhere or anything like that, don't be afraid to call and ask.
BTW, that was a pretty damn fun night though! Hearing that turbo spool up was like music to my ears!

A replacement is being tracked down. 4l80e it is, going to be built tough, hopefully my last for awhile.
Will do, and that night was fun doing 180mph with the windows down and the t-tops off, wow!! I cant get enough.
