I've been looking for about a half an hour now for a post on the corvette forum,...from a dude, that did a homemade single turbo, CENTER EXITING setup. Looked pretty wild. He bought it off of his buddy or something,...then he put it on his car. Been looking like crazy for the post but,..my mind is gonna explode in a second.

The post title was something like "my homemade single turbo corvette" or something like that. Still searching...

that was the one i was talking about! look like a true pro had built the kit. what turbo was he running?? pretty sure if it was the same one, it was a garrett GT4088.

you could also look at one of the Cartec car for ideas aswell. wouldn't sugest using the 101mm turbo they ran but might give you some piping ideas.

also have you thought about doing a homemade twin turbo?? there was one kicking around somewhere. if you are not after massive BHP then you could maybe use a could of stock scooby or Evo turbos. they will probalby be cheaper than buying new ones....

Chris.
I have. I was looking at the schematic for the STS kit. It's almost too simple to construct. I was thinking to myself "there has to be a catch to this." The hardest part would be to run the coldside piping along the outside-bottom of the car. Other than that, it looks pretty simple.

I'm leaning more towards the single only for simplicity. It'll be pretty neat to build a similar product as STS, only better quality with less complications. Who knows, maybe I'll start building these for people as a side job. Considering the taxes just doubled at our new house, it might not be a bad idea.

I did a similar build on my previous C5. Here's the thread:

Good luck,

We built that kit a year ago...man that car was AWESOME!

That car had a GT40-88 and made 640rwhp on 9psi - stock motor.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PROJECT! You will not regret it!
