Default VACUUM question

so if im sitting at idle my car is at 10in of vacuum and if i step on or even slowly roll into it my vacuum goes up to 20 or so inches.Is this normal or is there something in my pcv crossed.

but does it go up before back down ...that's what has me concerned

If you gun it, it should go to 0, I guess you could create more vacuum just above idle if you were OFF the throttle. Shouldn't do what you're saying regardless though....

I cant tell you if it is something wrong with your set-up or not, but I have noticed an increase in vaccum with rpm and slow throttle increase.

my car sits about 16-18 at idle and if I slowly give it gas it will go up to 20 or above before it starts moving in the other direction. If I go faster it will just start moving towards 0.
