Default how much boost

I'm looking to put either a supercharger or turbo on my 02 ws6. how much boost is safe to run without harming the motor? The motor has heads and cam, its a trick flow top end kit. A few other things here and there, but nothing on the lower half of the motor. I have 422rwh and 416tq. Looking for info and tips on how to get more!

From what I've read it seems 8lbs is the limit. I plan to run 8 or less if I install my kit.

depending on your current CR with your heads and cam setup usually the limits on the stock shortblock are 7-8 psi. Id say if your heads are milled and you have higher compression then 5-6 psi max would be what I would go with. At 422 rwhp NA you would be looking at over 500 rwhp at 5-6 psi and over 550 rwhp with 7-8 psi. I would say your best bet would be to go with a D1SC kit from EPP. Complete kit with fuel system upgrades and their service, cant beat it!

If I had a dollar for every time I read that, I could bail out a few financial institutions.
