Default Meth pre-turbo and after

hey guys anyone spray meth into the turbo.
i read a post about spraying a small amount ( 1.5gph ) to help compress air before it gets hot
iwas thinking of pushing the my aps kit to the max. they say the pre turbo helps if your turbo is getting to it max or your maxing a lot of boost
my plan was a 1.5gph before each turbo and 15gph before the TB
this is just a idea so dont bite my head off LOL
so anyone try this to see if it works?
thanks

Right off hand, I really do not see any possible benefit of injecting methanol before the tubro/supercharger. Since methanol has a much higher heat capacity than the air, it will contain much more heat when it is compressed. This will raise the overall temperature of the charge as it leaves the turbo/supercharger. Totally defeats the whole purpose of the idea.

Then why were draw thru carb systems successful?

I put my nozzle post-turbo, and even post-intercooler in my Typhoon. Worked really well.

There are many half truths and contradictions to the laws of thermodynamics in that page.

I just think its a good idea, since the drwathru carbs didn't really need an intercooler to keep IATs down. There were other problems with drawthrus but they worked very well on boats (snappy throttle response wasn't a strict requirement).

Pre turbo, dont like the idea much of spraying a COOLING liquid on the HOT compressor wheel. Next the the forces at play slings out the liquid like a centrifuge and hits the HOT compressor housing and then exit mostly on the walls of the exiting pipe is the way i see this going down. Saw a pic of compressor wheels notched up by nitrous injection, meth could do the same thing IMHO. Dont like it. Fueling from meth alone pre turbo it would probably work well and atomize way better than a carb.

I think almost everyone is spraying post-turbo (and many post-IC) and results are good. I don't see the need to trailblaze on this one. I also see a downside to spraying methanol (corrosive) onto a hot compressor...

Spraying fluid pre-turbo is not a good idea, unless you want to buy a new compressor wheel. As most people know when you hit a fluid at a high velocity it feels the same as hittinng concrete. Spraying pre-turbo could have the same effect as throwing gravel in the spinning compressor wheel , but not quiet as dramatic. I would definately spray post turbo...

The idea works fine if your running it in a hot area where income air is in the 85 or hotter temp range before turbo. Run nozzle at a high psi and it will all be vapor by the time it hit the turbo. I would only do this if your near the max and want every last bit of power.
