The set of heads I'll be putting on my Formula are O ringed. I like this a lot more though. I want to test this out on my 93 when I put the 408/S95 in there.

Quite a few people swear by O-Ringing....... I have a buddy who does it a different way also.
Ill be posting pic's of it when its done.

This is 1000-1050 rwhp in a dynojet. The same company that has the superflow SF-902 has a dynojet also.

now camaroandreas, can you please post more pics of how you setup the deck if possible?? and what is that slot cut in the side of the cylinder across the deck surface?
and is it just me or are you not running a BOV ??

your car makes me want an older body style nova sooooo bad
Yes, I am also curious to as to why there is a slot on the deck surface ?

The slot on the deck surface is a evaktuation groove. If the head lifts compression will leak out there and not into the water system. We do that on some type of engines but not LS1. I will soon have more LS1 gasket kits in stock and i can post some pics then.

This is how they did on the 1.5 lit formula 1 bmw engines that made 1500hp with 65psi boost

I'd be interested to see a side by side comparison of the gaskets you are using to a stocker.

What block are you using? LQ9, LQ4, Something else bored-out?Also I figure 30psi on a 6.0L would yield more, what am I missing here? E85 has higher octane reading so would add to the disparity in my thinking. Please help me not feel so stupid! on a great set-up!!

LQ9 stock block/crank. E85 is so much better then fuel.. even more power then VP fuel.

I know that - just pointing out another option that is used in some high boost engines.

I will dyno it again in a couple of weeks with these updates:

Morel lifters.
Shimmed Patriot extreme springs with 170 seat load.
New larger intercooler, as posted above.
Race cover to my S480 turbo.

I hope for 1250-1300 hp this time, i hope the race cover will do its job
