Default powdercoating coldside

im making a rear mount setup for my truck and am wondering if its ok to powdercoat my tubing from the turbo to i/c to throttle body.

will it help or hurt with cooling of the air?

thanks, Gary

Powdercoat is somewhat of a thermal barrier, so if you're trying to radiate heat out of the pipe, it's certainly not going to HELP that any. That said, a thin coating isn't a great insulator, so it shouldn't hurt you majorly.

Since you're intercooled, it really shouldn't matter, just don't powdercoat your intercooler.

Wouldn't hurt to keep some parts bare and other coated that run near the manifolds for instance. Just an idea.
