Default New turbo for the subaru

Just got a pulsar 7375 compact for my 5.3 swap car.

When I first built it I had a gen 1 7875 vs racing boy on it.

Then swapped to a 3584rs. The instant boost is nice and since its a street car should just leave it alone but i cant so I picked up this pulsar to see what thats like

Version 1 with 7875

Progress of version 3 with 7375. Still gotta fab rest of exhaust off turbo. Fitting a 4in is gonna be tight

That thing is sweet! I'm guessing it's just RWD now? What are you using for a rear diff/axles?

Oh yeah, lots going on under there! I bet the 7375 ***** all over the old 7875 and spools better. I'd like to hear you opinion of all 3 or a brief run down after you get acclimated to the new one.

Thats what im hoping. A good blend of the spool of the baby turbo and the punch of the 7875

Its unassuming all closed up. Probably gonna be a bit louder with the full 4in exhaust vs the 3 on it now

This is an awesome build. Thanks for sharing it with the community. Totally unassuming sitting in a parking lot with the wheels and overall look, just another Subie. Then you fire it up and roll out, and it definitely makes people stop and scratch their heads.

Thanks for running our SUM-8715R1 Ghost Cam. Based on what you’ve shown, it's a great fit for the combo.

The RWD conversion is wild too. Curious to hear how that changes the handling and overall driving feel with the LS up front compared to the factory boxer engine and AWD setup.

Really cool to see an LS-swapped RWD Subie. You don’t see many done like this, and it’s a great example

How'd curb weight and Front:Rear distribution work out?
Assuming battery in back, and aluminum block: You might well be LIGHTER than stock, and maybe even close to 55% front

The ghost cam is awesome! Makes great power throughout rev range, idle sounds good and best part is the low speed drive ability! So smooth

Better in every aspect compared to the btr cam I had in it honestly

The handling is surprisingly better than expected. In stock subaru form the front axles come straight out of the transmission putting the entire weight of the engine in front of the wheels along with the weight of the diff and trans all the way up to the axles. The ls is centered over the axle along with no abs or a/c and all the related components.


Throttling through a turn does produce more over steer than a factory car now though...as expected

It might be lighter or close to. I removed all hvac stuff behind dash along with radio and speakers. Stripped the car harness down of anything that didnt run lights windows or gauges and the subframes and suspension bits weigh less than factory stuff

Awesome to hear you really like the balance of a broad powerband, nice clean idle, and great driveability from the Ghost cam!

That makes a lot of sense about weight distribution, and yes having all that weight past the front axle over the nose isn't good for handling. Now with the LS RWD and the extra power only going to the rear wheels in a "short" wheelbase car, having some over steer? Sounds like some fun times as long as you can keep it under ya

Only took some slight massage to make the magnum fit in the tunnel. But the shifter lined right up to the factory shift hole.

And a little for the driveshaft too as it's larger diameter than the factory one

I haven't had much time last couple weeks to mess with it.

Being a dad and a responsible adult is really ruining all my play time... haha

And I need to finish up the 2650 install on my buddies obs 1500 lt4 swap truck.

The cradles front and rear are made by a guy in Washington tssfab.us. he makes alot of quality subaru bits.

He now makes a cradle that will hold a ford 8.8
