Accel injectors
Anyway, the box the injectors came in said they were 30# injectors... But the injector top (black) has "44 lb/hr" engraved on one side and a part number on the other. Can get picks if needed.
Some of the injectors even had flow test sheets packaged with them. But the numbers didnt seem to relate to lb/hr in any way.
Anyway, the pcm is already enroute to PCMforless for a base tune... So I need to figure out what to tell him as far as injector flow rating.
Is it common for them to be labeled differently from the sticker on the box?
I've only ever dealt with Racetronix for injectors with my other projects, and they dont have anything engraved on them. So this scared me a little.
Seems pretty iffy to me, especially since theyve say dry for that long of a period, they may very well be no good even if we figure out what they are.
I double checked and they all have the same engravings on them.
So how to tell if they're any good or not is gonna be the next question. Right after we identify them.
If you want to send them in, we have the most intensive cleaning and servicing service there is, and not only will they be fully refurbished but they will be on the flow bench several times to find out what they actually flow.
We charge $15 per injector for this service.
THE SERVICE INCLUDES:
1) Injectors are externally cleaned, visual inspected
2) We test injectors for resistance, shorts, and current draw.
3) We perform leak test, spray pattern, and flow rate testing on one of our 3 ASNU flow benchs. All data is recorded and sent to you.
4) Remove filter baskets, o-rings, and pintle caps. Metal injectors are bead blasted to remove old paint and rust from the injector body.
5) The injectors are placed in a heated ultrasonic bath to insure that the injector is free of dirt and contamenants that could hinder the rest of the process.
6) The injectors are now put into another ultrasonic system while they are pulsed allowing the ultrasonic energy to dislodge any particles and build-up inside the injectors.
7) The injectors are now back flowed to remove all debris, etc.
8) The injectors are now returned to the flow bench for retesting of all functions. The data from this test is returned to you in detail with your injectors.
9) The injectors are now refinished with high temp paint. the stainless steel injectors are polished to a high finish.
10) One of our techs. now reassembles the injector, using all new parts.
11) The injectors are then vac sealed and packaged for shipment along with the old parts.

I'll run it by the owner to see what he wants to do and get back to you.
He is already planning to get on the horn with Accel to see what they can tell us, so I'll likely get a decision on what he wants to do Monday afternoon.
Thanks for the help
Accel does not supply flow sheets., nor do they stamp the pt # on them. I suspect the numbers you see, are batch/date codes, etc.
A part # should read 150136, etc. w/ the last 2 numbers being the flow rating.

I had a set in stock, and sent them back for credit.
Accel confirmed that they are in fact 44lb injectors and that the other number is a batch code. They do flow them, but not under a specific duty cycle.
The guy at Accel couldnt figure out why I would have 8 44's in 8 different boxes for 30's. So I asked the owner of the car who all of a sudden remembered doing something shady with summit to get a different size injector after they wouldnt exchange them
