What would cause a rapid jump in FP?
I started the car again today to do a little more testing with the new setup. Prior to today the car would start and run great and the fuel pressure would stay around 45psi or so at idle witht he 50lb/hr. injectors.
Today fuel pressure is closer to 80psi at idle, and the car is running understandably rich. I haven't made any changes to my Edit program at all.
The only thing that I can think of is that when I was putting the dipstick back in I accidentally touched the back of the starter and killed the computer. Thing is, I can reprogram the computer with LS1Edit, and it seems to be ok.
What could cause this huge jump in FP? There are no vacuum leaks that I can find...and like I said, the car was fine before.
Thanks,
does the pressure still go up further when you tap the throttle (assuming vaccum sensitive regulator)
maybe you pulled a piece of trash into the regulator?
Pressure seems to go down when I tap the throttle...really weird. I am guessing that the single in-tank 255 is having trouble putting up 80psi in the first place!
I pulled and checked the regulator yesterday and it appears to be ok.
When I pulled the line that runs from the tank to the regulator the car had about 20psi of fuel pressure with key on power as opposed to 70...this would indicate where my blockage is, correct?
Thanks,
Scott
