I have a 10an bulkhead fitting in the bottom of my 99 Plastic tank, and a 6an fitting up top for the return. I just capped off all the factory stuff. Seems to work fine.

I have seen it done many times but have also seen more than enough crack and leak. You are also pulling fuel from a very flat bottom of a tank with no baffle in it.

Not sure if it helped at all, but i did mine on the rear right side... figured under a hard launch that is where all the fuel was going to go.

I was plagued with leaks & eventually I threw it away. I have heard guys like above that say they have no problems but I couldn't make mine work. I tried for over one year.

I daily drive mine & it would stay good for quite a while then start to seep.

What kind of bulkhead fitting did you use?

I had a magnafuel one that had two metal washers with rubber o-rings built in that fit under each nut, inside and out.

I know some of the cheaper bulkhead fittings just use a nylon or delrin washer in place of that, and i could see that being harder to get to seal up right.

It was the nylon kind. I used several different sealers over the time I had it & couldn't keep it sealed.

Bringing this one back from the dead.

Is there any alternative to fuel slosh when doing this? Can foam blocking be used in tank to help? Wonder if thats even compatible with E85?

Thanks.
