Fuel Rail return/returnless question

Fuel Rail return/returnless question

I have a 2001 4.8L truck motor with an LS1 intake manifold. My truck is currently a return style w/ 2 lines connecting to the fuel rail. I just bought an RCI 20 gallon fuel cell and MSD external fuel pump. Will i still need to run the return line and return style fuel rail or will a stock returnless style LS1 rail work?

You can stay with the return style just need some sort of regulator.

so would it be better to just get a 97-98 rail with the return or use the returnless ls1 rail i already have? Also if i use the returnless rail do i just need a fuel pressure regulator to make it work?

You will still need some sort of regulator. Most conversions I use a Corvette filter/regulator at the back and a single line up to the rails. But if you can find a set of 97 rails that will work as well.
