Default Injector O-ring lube?

Just recieved some 42lb green bosch/ford injectors. o-rings on the fuel rail and manifold side. And no provided lubrication with purchase. regular oil, silicone, none?

You could use whatever multi purpose grease or lube spray you have, Either will work fine.

We recommend and use dish soap. It leaves no residue when it dries.

I don't remember where I heard it, but I use silicone grease. If you go to the hardware store, it is called "Plumber's grease". Works for all o-rings, automotive or household related.

I used the dish soap method. But have used vasoline and oil as well, but I can see why oil would be bad.

well, looked at a couple threads before intsall to get some pointers, and I don't want to wash the motor (at 60K) or kill O2's and plugs, going to take PCM to The HPfactory to pre/rough tune and then drive in for a pull. car is sitting fueless, fuel rail and injectors out, waiting for sunrise(some good light) to make sure everything seats right. suppose to snow too!

There in, started it to look for leaks and smoked like a champ. I defintly recomend removing the fuel rail, make sure the injectors are on the rail, and clips are on before you reinstall. little bit of a puzzle to put back in with them on but saves you the heart ache of makeing sure they seat the manifold. lots play if clips aren't in. oh and vasoline worked fine! soap couldn't tell the difference, buddy was lubing them while i put them on, just went with vasoline on the rest.
