Default 1968 Lq9 camaro swap EFI Tank Question

I am doing a Lq9 swap..with a Magnachager...engine and trans is in, going to mount the magnacharger soon...the car is going to be a road race car so it is gutted.....here is my question: can use a high pressure fuel cell in the trunk ? If I dont care about where the gas tank is located, I dont need to go with a Rick's Customs Tank......Will a regular Jegs...I am on a budget fuel cell with the sender work just fine? Any thoughts on this....I am on a budget...
the car should make approx. 500 rwhp.....so will the sender work or will i have to go with a bigger one? Thanks.

Yes you can mount a cell in the trunk. Be sure to check your race rules pertaining to proper firewalls separating the trunk from the passenger compartment.

For a racecar, I would run a cell & put the external pump under the car.

The 0-90 ohm sender will work w/ your stock gauge.

The tank only has a -8 outlet, which is small for a large pump but for a under 400hp setup should be OK. For big pumps you should use a -10 inlet, so this may be something to look for.

You likely need a -8 supply & -6 return line for your car.

I would look into Magnafuel pumps, they have good quality pumps for a reasonable price. Look at an appropriately sized pump for your current & future needs. don't go cheap & definitely do not just buy the biggest one either as this causes many problems as well.

http://www.nastyperformance.com a vendor here sells these pumps so you may want to look him up.

The late Camaro tank would probably be the closest, but will still take some work. The Vette is a weird shape.
