What do I need to do to get my fuel system ready? It's been sitting for 7 years!
What do I need to do to get the fuel system in order and ready for my LS1?
I have a 1985 XJ6 that has been sitting for about 7 years. The last 4 years have been in a heated garage. It has 2 tanks, 2 inline pumps mounted in the trunk, 1 electric valve to toggle between tanks, and a set of fuel lines (feed and return) running up to the engine compartment. It is a high-pressure fuel injection system. The tanks have old gas in them. I now know I should have drained the tanks, but I didn't.
I would consider bypassing that electric valve and running from just one tank. I would like to keep the existing factory fuel lines that run under the car.
What do I need to do to get the fuel system in order and ready for my LS1?
Thanks, -Dave
