could someone please tell me where the fuel pressure regulator on an lt1 is? any help would help

I believe that it is on the rail, but I only really know anything about ls1's so dont quote me..

Yeah I don't believe it is in the tank... Don't think they put them in the tank until like 98 or something...

easyest way i found was to take the rails off

That is how I do it. Remove the 2 fuel lines, the 4 bolts that hold the rails on, and the vacuum line to the FPR. Then the rails and the injectors come out easily. You have to unplug the injectors, of course.
There is also a writeup on doing it on-car, but you have to have very small hands to do it.

LOL. I was afraid you would ask that. When I went to look for it this morning my PC crashed, so I said f-it. Let me see if I can find both writeups and I will post the links.

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Track/9558/afpr.html Getting to those Torx screws is a bit@h with is on the car, which is why I always remove them.

I already explained how to remove the rails; it is pretty straightforward.

BTW, either way you go, you will have to purchase a fuel line removal kit at the local autoparts. Very standard tool, comes with 6-8 different sizes, and you will need 2 of them.
