trap door for access hole
The Moroso trap door should work just fine. The trap door I cut was 5" x 5 3/4". I just got a piece of stainless sheetmetal and made it about 3/4" longer on all sides and held it down with 4-40 button head screws and sealed it with Ultra Black. I also painted it the same as the body color to match and put a dimple in it to match the factory seam.
I used a Dremel with a fiberglass cut-off wheel (just 1 needed) and took my time making the cut. It took about 3-4 minutes to complete the cut and pop the panel out. It is a bit tight but worked out real well.

I have to change mine out soon for my setup. I have been real nervous about doing the access door because I want to keep my car as original as possible. I know GM has put door on other vehicles ie: Impala
Has anyone ever noticed any problems with the metal flexing after a while or any other issues with their setup?

No problems what so ever with mine. The door does not vibrate or allow any more noise than before. I made sure to seal it with silicone to prevent any fumes from coming thru.
