Default Punctured Fuel Line HELP!

I accidentally punctured a hole in the fuel line at this part of the tank. How do I fix/remove this and alleviate the problem?

Thanks!

You can buy repair kits that are essentially a barbed fitting & 2 clamps, or they have the quick connect with a foot of tubing if you need to replace the end. My local Advanced auto has them.

Since the line is under no certain pressure I just went to my auto parts store and got some of that mending putty and formed a good seal around the hole. Seems to be holding just fine. Hope it holds!

Thanks!

At minimum you should have put a section of hose over the break & clamped it. Under no circumstances would I recommend you put a glob of sealer over something that could cause a leak or fire.

Unfortunately due to the location of the hole I cannot fit a piece of tube over it. It is located right next to the "T" junction. If I did put a piece over it, the clamp would be right on the hole. Also, there would be no way to replace the rubber line that is already on the plastic "T" junction. I left the cutout and carpet out of the car so I'll keep an eye on it and check for leaks every chance I get. I also always have a fire extinguisher in the car.

Here is a better pic.
