Exclamation From walbro to holley fuel pump running RICH

My walbro pumped crapped out so i bought a holley 255 lph from a kid in town new in the box for 100.00 "prolly to much" but i needed it. before my walbro went south it was solid at 58 psi all the time. the holley is right at 65 psi and my car is running pretty damn rich. will this small amount of extra fuel pressure make that big of a difference in power loss or drivability. for what its worth the car seems to like it and run a lil smoother and idles a lil higher but it smokes now, not bad but enough to see it and definitely smell it.

7 psi is a big just you deff need a retune ill give you an ex

ok i bought 42 pound inj for my car that were tested at 42 pounds of psi well my stock psi is 58 psi so i put that in the spread sheet that i have to figure out what i need to put in the table. And at 58 psi my new injectors actually flow 52 so that extra 16 pounds off pressure actually gave me 10 more pound injectors.

See what i mean?

a tune is pretty expensive isnt it? would i be better off and save a few bucks by buying an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to bring the new pump down to 58 psi? thanks for any advice Sir..Semper Fi

Easist and cheapest route would be to buy a new stock regualtor and see if that gets you in yoru ~58psi ball park. And adjustable regs can get pretty spendy.

i found a place close by that'll tune my car but its 400 bucks, i lil out of my price range at the moment. that might be a killer deal i dont know. i bought the car already built and tuned from a local guy and the shop i mentioned above did all the work on it.
