Default max compression on E85 only?

I did do a search, and have read all of Runn's threads on E85...VERY informative.

However no one seems to have any clear idea on what kind of SCR/DCR you can run for a purposely built E85 engine.

I planned on running 93 and was going with 12:1 and 8.6:1 respectively....and then a 2 stage fogger on race gas.

NOW I want to run E85 can I bump the compression up to 13:1? 14:1? what about DCR? 9.5:1? we only get E85 summer blend down here so I'm not going to have to deal with swapping fuels however I still may want to run some C16 for the larger spray runs...not sure on that yet.

this is a nitrous built 408, TFS 235's custom cam, callies rotating assembly, custom diamond nitrous pistons, topped w/ a vic jr. it WILL be street driven regularly, just looking to make the most power on E85.

plan on running 83lb high impedence Siemens...which would make them something like 94's in a 4bar fuel setup correct? I would think this would be MORE than enough injector.

or the bosch's they are 83lb @ 4 bar....

ive read through that sticky a couple of times, but im still by no means an expert. you might be able to get away with running 14:1, but that is a ton, E85 or not, but that doesnt mean its out of the range of possiblity. the nitrous and you big heads/cam will love it though, so id say 13:1 no problem. not alot of people running E85 cars so you might be one of the first (on here at least) to have a purpose built E85 motor from the beginning. all i can say is, good luck, and i hope you have a lot of injector

i know 12:1 with iron heads so id say 13:1 with your aluminum, but if you are going to be swapping out to c16 and such you better be able to tune it because you need alot more of the e85 than c16 and your timing will have to be adjusted according, +1 on the big injectors also

yeah that's what I'm trying to do...sure there are guys running E85 on 12:1...but pump can do that basically a "max effort" street car, oxymoron I know, wanting to make at least 600wheel on motor, anymore would be great.

there are plenty of guys running 12:1 on aluminum heads, and to the C16 comment...we'll just see how much spray the E85 can handle...it maybe easier to Run E100 in the dedicated nitrous fuel cell and E85 in the main tank, or just run E100 in both tanks for the big big shots...easier to tune I would think.

will those 83's be enough?

I believe I put a link in Runns thread were a diesel motor was used at 19:1 with E-85.
