About 7k miles ago or so I noticed a loud tick coming from the engine after doing the cam swap .I took a small tube to my ear around the block and found the noise was coming from the injector itself so I took it to a shop to hook up their injector cleaner thing. The sound went away and all was good. But just recently I noticed it was coming back again and I want to take a trip to for the holidays but worried about driving 2k miles. I just put in a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank and will wait a week to see how that goes but could it be anything else thats causing my injectors to make alot of noise? Car does seem like it's been getting less gas mileage recently too...

 

Why not just take it to the shop before you travel.

 

I just hate to bug my friend cause I constantly use his shop so I was trying to see if I could fix it myself. Another thing is I think that it would come back again in another 7k miles

 

what kind of fuel u are using,,
run ur tank empty+get some 93 octen and injector cleaner
