Walbro 255 problems.
I wanted to verify the pump was bad so I used the pump to drain the tank. It had the just the 12 inch long -8 hose from the tank and 3 feet of 3/8ths hose and was barly trickling out of the hose. Obviously not nearly what it should be pumping out and the whole reason why I had all these problems.
I did verify that I had a full 12+ volts and I did.

Finally got the truck back together with a new pump. Not one single issue. Pump is silent, so quiet in fact I didn't know it was working. I thought I had the pressure gage hooked up and it showed no pressure, but the truck started and shut off, started it up again and it stayed running. Then I actually hooked up the pressure gage and running just over 60 psi.

Man ,I'm happy you got your fuel pump straight. I'm planning on getting an in-line fuel pump for my SS when I upgrade my injectors in the future. You had me a little worried about going with an in-line pump at first ,but now I see you just had a bad one to begin with. I'm glad Summit did you right man .
