Default fuel pump question

I have a few questions. I know that this pump is a direct fitment into my car because of other guys around here run this pump.. http://www.racetronix.com/RX-F98-FPKG-2.html

But this pump is what i am leaning towards and want to know if it is a direct fitment or what needs to be changed on it if its just the plug in or what if thats the only thing then i just need to splice it no biggy let me know thanks

The jegs kit is very generic, as there was 4 different pumps used between '82 & '02. That is not correct for any of them.

Also a good kit will not use a rubber connection hose.

Get the correct one (Racetronix) & save yourself some problems.

Ok i didn't know what would have to be altered. The stock pump has a rubber connection hose btw.

A 98 does not have a rubber supply line, unless the pump was already changed....

well humm... it looks just like what the 255's are in the pictures with the little rubber hose that connects to the top then has zip ties with the rubber hose to hold it off the metal.

mine has the float arm, but then has a pump like a 255 with the rubber hose. Then off the return line it has a plastic hose going into a filter as well.

ok so just confermed that it is a walbro gss340m that is on it now which is a 255 pump and we were comanding 10.5 afr and was still going 17afr lean when you got into it.

Fuel pressure is the only way to determine flow capacity. If it holds pressure under full throttle, the pump has enough capacity.

When fuel pressure drops significantly (more than approx 3-5psi), there is not enough capacity. Typically it will fall dastically when you run out of pump.
