Default Fuel system for 650whp boosted??

Plan is to use the stock fuel rails in my 2000 ta, procharged setup.

Stock fuel rails
42 pound ford injectors
-6 an fuel lines all the way
aeromotoive fpr 1:1 rate
walbro 255 pump

basically is the one walbro enough or do I need a second?
Or is there another intank pump I can use that will supply the fuel to hit my hp goal safely?

Thanks in advance

I can't answer your question but can offer this...i bought a car that po was building a 1000hp FI setup. He was using 255 in tank and -8 the whole way with external A1000 pump and inline Aeromotive filter, fpr with fitting welded on LT1 fuel rail. I have no use for any of it if you find yourself looking for pieces...it appears to be in perfect condition and does run/pump.

1 intank pump is not going to cut it.

I can build you a dual pump kit plus a complete set of lines & all fitings required that will easily support your power goals.

Feel free to call if I can be of assistance.

What if I ran a Bosch 044 pump online with my intank walbro 255 pump? I heard it can really help out! Would that work too in supporting 650whp?

Stock fuel rails will be iffy. 42lb injectors will run out of steam at around 3500rpms. Your stock feed line is already -6 size, so why waste money there? And no, one 255 pump will not even come close to handling your power. Yes the Bosh would work like that.

Might as well go with the dual intank and upgrade to some better fuel rails with a rail mounted regulator if you want it to be reliable.

A single 255 and 42# injectors arent gonna cut it for 650whp IMO.

I have a single 255 racetronix and 57# low impedance injectors and dont think I make much over 6 @ the wheel and I'm way out of pump and my injectors are over 100% duty cycle going down the track. Just my experience

I have a single 255 pump and 60's on the stock fuel system making 615hp and running out of fuel up top, I plan to go twin 255's running the second pump off of a hobbs switch

For 650 Lonnie's twin intank pumps even on the stock fuel lines with 60# injectors will work. You won't have much room left though after that so if you ever go bigger you'll have to do lines and rails too.

His twin intank isn't the cheapest option, but you really do get what you pay for here. His wiring harness and twin pumps have been working flawlessly for me for over a year of daily driving. I loved how easy it was to install and hook up.
