Default loosing fuel pressure ???

I have a 1995 LT1 Camaro, it has a aeromotive a1000 fuel pump with a aeromotive regulator that is boost referenced. At idle it has about 45lbs but as soon as it starts building boost it cuts back to 5-10lbs and starts fluttering. I checked both fuel filters, no trash in either one. Do you guys think that its a week fuel pump or the regulator?? Any help is appreciated. The car has been running fine previously but I noticed sometimes the pump would loose its prime before the car started acting up.

Where is the pump mounted in relation to the tank?

What filters are you running where (brand, location and Micron rating)? Is this something that happens after the car has ran for a while or just on start up? How old is the pump? What size line are feeding the pump with? How are you getting fuel out of the tank (sump tank or pickup tube)? Is the tank vented and not by a vented cap? Is the pump mounted above or below the tank?

All the answers to these questions will help point us in the right direction.
