Default Fuel Pressure jumping all around pump whine bad reg?

So I installed a wal255lph bout 3 years ago, today my pressure gauge was jumping all over the place dropping down to 10psi but when I rev it up a little it climbs back to where it is supposed to be 55psi. I am thinking it is the regulator? Any thing I can do to diagnose this issue? Thanks!

3 yrs on a Walbro is pushing your luck...For the cost involved, I'd change it out. Maybe with a Denso??

Have you checked your charging system at idle and low speed?

No I have not, that might be a good idea to do.

Charging system is good, Started it up today and had great pressure and everything seemed normal, I did not drive it though. I am thinking maybe the pump is going out or got hot.
