Fuel pump install for a vert Reviewed the how to sticky for the Walbro install, but could not confirm that the trap door location is the same for a convertible. Anybody know if it is?Nice write up.
I would do it right and not cut a big hole in your floor. Not alot more time involved. You want to clean the tank of debris as to not damage the new pump while its out.

Yeah its in the same place on all the cars. But as far as access you have to chec that yourself as I don't think you have as good access like a noncovertible cars I think its under the deck and makes getting a strait shot very hard. I don't feel it saves any time at all and will race anyone doing the stupid shortcut vs pulling the tank with my lift and air tools. GL. Hope this answered your question.

I'm curious about this too being that I have a vert. I have serious doubts about clearance with the top lip of the trunk considering how big the bucket is.
BLUEBYU it seems like you are going to beat me to this mod, I will not be in any condition to perform it anytime soon. If you try the hole cutting route I would appreciate it if you could post pics and share thoughts and experience on this issue.
