Default How bad was my fuel filter? *PICS*

So i pulled out my fuel filter and opened her up. There is now a noticeable difference with the new filter...

no clue :/

I've only had the car for 10,000 miles (it has 120,000 total). Figured it wouldn't hurt swapping it out before I put it up on the dyno.

I used my dremel with a metal cutting wheel

Grinding sends out dust and other particles contaminating the filter so opening it up to look inside is useless. Use shears next time

Well it did cross my mind so I took it slow with the dremel. If the filter did catch fire I had a sink nearby to quench it.

The filters condition is pretty uniform throughout. It's unlikely that the cut contaminated it... There were some metal particles but they're unnoticeable in the photos.

Since I don't have it to see but it just looks like it has been discolored or stained by the gas.Just look at any place gas has leaked or the fuel connections and they will all look like the filter.
