I have a 1998 corvette fuel rail on my 88 ram, I believe alls I need to do is supply to rail with 80psi pressure from my walbro pump and the regulator thats on the rail will regulate it down to the proper psi then just dump the return line back to the tank?

I was told that the regulator on the rail was just a dampner, but I think thats for the returnless systems like whats on my 2000 z28.

Yes just need a supply and return line to the rails the regulator is on the rail so it will adjust the proper pressure.
