Default gutted fuel regulator??

I gutted my regulator in the f-body fuel pump assembly, I'm running a corvette fuel filter/regulator and the fuel will be returned through the reg at the pump..
will this work?

I couldn't figure out how to gut mine, so I just took it out completely. I'm sure what you did will probably work just fine. Only one way to find out...

I had to do that to mine about 2 years ago to maintain 60psi fuel pressure. it works fine no issues, however my fuel pump stopped working again due to faulty wiring so I have had enough and I am bypassing the whole system and going with an A1000 and wiring it up to a switch like a race car would be. I have gone through 5 fuel pumps in the past year due to it.
