I know a few years ago, one of the big Mercedes dealers here, actually extended their workshops quite a bit, due to the amount of warranty work they were having to do !!!
Not a good sign at all.
Technology etc is all good and well....but only when it is reliable ( and needed )
Whilst some engines in modern cars are really fantastic, and the electronic trickery that goes with them. When you compare some german or italian machinery to something as simple and effective as an LS engine. It almost makes you wonder why they bother !!

The Bosch 044 pump is good for about 700-800hp on pump gas. My car made 734 before it started leaning out around 6500rpm.
I've run dual Bosch 044 pumps in parallel with -10 from tank to pumps and -8 from pumps to rails and the car made 1432whp and the fuel system never hicup'd
I'll do the DIY write up on the 044 in tank this week
