1997 C5 Help vs LS3
A) How do I get my return style fuel system to work with the ls3 rail? I'm assuming I need to buy some sort of a external fuel pressure regulator and run the lines to it.
B) Does someone make LS3 GM fuel rail connector to -an fitting, and ls1 style to -an fitting so I can leave the factory fuel lines alone?
C) Can my factory pump fuel the LS3 injectors?
D) Will the factory LS3 injectors be enough to fuel a N20 418 Ls3 engine? It will be a N20 induction engine eventually, which i know lessens the load on the injectors.
Thanks guys!!
I'll give you a call this evening. What does the retro swap kit contain? I *think* I only need some sort of 3 way regulator, one port going to the return, one port accepting the fuel pump output and one to the ls3 rail correct? Then I just set the regulator to ~58 psi? maybe install the msd pump boaster and run a little higher psi so the factory Ls3 injectors can get a little more flow at lower duration?
I was hoping to get away with using the MSD boost pump thing.
Can I use an inline pump or are they garbage?
I would suggest you put together a quality fuel system.
Feel free to call if you would like to discuss your needs.
I'll drop a line when I finally get some time.I really was looking for some suggestions. Dual in tank pumps, add an external pump, boost a pump? any advantage having one over the other etc.
I realize I need some regulator, and lines but stuff is easy, well should be easy lol.

There is also quite a bit of pump failures from using a boost-a-pump on the Vettes.
Call me when you are ready & I'll be glad to go over the details with you.
