Injector Interchange?
I've sucessfully transplanted an LM7 in my jeep.
I'm moving the motor over to a buggy chassis, and for hood / radiator clearance I'm planning on running the intake backwards.
I picked up an LS1 intake and fuel rail from a buddy. It all seems to be A-OK to plop it on backwards, but when I went to put the injectors in the intake they didn't seem to fit. They bottomed out before they reached a good sealing location. The tops also didn't fit too well into the steel fuel rails.
So...have I opened a can of worms? What do I need to do/get to make the lower intake work out for me?
I've already re-routed the wires in the harness to reach the DBW throttle body, so I thought I was (almost) free and clear!
Thanks!
The LS2's are different than the LS1 injectors.
I'm not sure about the Truck injectors though.
If this helps I just changed my injectors on my LS1 and the old ones were hard to get out of the intake and fuel rail and the new ones were hard to push into the intake and fuel rail.
I would also like to see a pick of your Jeep Transplant.
I had a 1979 CJ7 with a 350 TBI turbo350 Np205 transfercase with 14bolt rear and Dana60 front with 39.5 boggers then they closed down Tellico and I sold it.Sad part is I only got to wheel in it only twice.
