Default fuel cell newbie, got questions

I'm looking at a 10-15 gallon aluminum fuel cell for the trunk of my 95 z28 (>5k miles/yr of street/strip). Some advertise foam and a sump. What are the pros/cons to each?

Specifically I'm looking at RCI p/n 2150AS, but am open to suggestions. Looks like the majority also feature -8AN fittings for outlet, vent, and return. Is this the size I want?

What else is needed to get this running on my LS3 fuel rail? (pump (A1000??), pre/post filters...) I would like to keep this project under $1000.

*I dont want to hear anything about the stock tank - I am NOT using it.

Thanks, Matt

The foam is in there to keep the fuel from sloshing around inside the tank when taking corners, accelerating or braking hard. It helps keep the fuel down by the sump on the tank. Then the sump is where the fuel comes out, pretty simple to understand, the fuel uses gravity to go to the sump since its the lowest part in the cell.

That RCI cell looks good, -8 feed should take you up to pretty high horsepower, not for sure but some people say 700ish. The A1000 pump will take you further than that or you could use a bosch 044 and go to around 700ish. I may be a little off on these HP numbers so someone can correct me if im wrong.

You should be able to do it under 1000 if you go with the bosch pump, don't know on the A1000 as i've never priced one out..

enough of my rambling, hope that helped somewhat!

Excellent. build is stock rebuild LS2, stock L92 heads, stock LS3 intake. Looking for 425 at the wheels through an A4.

Any maintenance issues with the foam? Will it break down? So what else do I need/approx. costs?

Also, is this how they are correctly measured: L W H
