Default collapsed braided return line

went to start up my 6.0 swapped s10 and heard fuel hit the garage floor. i installed -6an jegs brand braided line and walbro 255 intank pump 2 weeks ago. the line is not kinked, overtightened, twisted or chaffing on anything. just looks like it collapsed on one side. again, this is the return line. did i just get a bad section of line or is there a ton of suction in the tank. also, the tank is half full and the vent tube is still in place. has anybody had a similar problem with this setup or line?

feed line just did the same thing, same place. travels behind the alternator and next to a coil. i dont know if it has to do with the placement or not. its just very strange. i ordered earls line the other day. hopefully this solves the problem
