Default Z06 Injectors

Has anyone installed these? What did you have to modify in Edit to make them work? Are they roughly 7% over stock 99 injectors? 28lb? I have them installed , and a tuner did a lousy job; I'm pig rich still and need to be retuned for them. I tried a search with no luck. Here is my dyno:

I still have the stock injectors; anyone think I should go back to them with my mods?

H/C Stage II heads, TR224 on a 112 LSA, LT headers, ported TB, stock MAF with screen and LS6 intake.

Thanks

Here is an answer I got from LS1Tuning.com ( member goodhands ) if anyone is interested or doing a search:

----

99-2000 LS1 injectors 26.3 lbs.-hr@4bar 2001-2004 LS1/LS6 injectors 28.5 lbs.-hr@4bar (58.02psi).

I have not installed these but instead have the higher flowing Ford SVO 30 pounders that flow about 36 lbs on an LS1 due to higher fuel pressure. IMO stay with the larger injectors. The Injector Flow Rate table is typically used to tune part throttle and the PE vs. RPM table is used for WOT AFR tuning.
I have seen an AFR graph like yours once before. A professioanl tuner had simply reduced the 100 and 95 cell in the injector flow rate table. His thought was that since those two tables are used when the vacuum drops to 0 (at wot) that this would tune the WOT AFR. So yes you look rich until about 4500 rpm then it goes up sharply to lean out. A flater graph would be much more desirable. This is guess at what was "tuned". Without knowing how much tuning was done by the "pro" I will make a a suggestion. First off return the IFR tables to their stock setting then allow 50 minutes of driving time for the PCM to relearn. Log your LTFT's, FTC, MAF, KR and Spark Adv over a 30 minute period of driving in all rpm/gear ranges. Specifically we want to know what your fuel trim cells 6-14 are...... individually. Then post the results and we will go from there.

damn you went from rich as hell to pretty damn lean. I would take the car asap to another tuner and let them get it right for you.

So rich, my eyes burn standing anywhere near the car; no cats. I haven't driven it much ( 1000 miles ) since getting back from JD's in October.

that car should be making more hp than that especially with the torque its making. Scale the injectors right, then go form there with the PE tables

Hmmm..good post.

so would 03 injectors flow more than 98 injectors..i know 98's are 28 something, just can't recall. I picked up some 03 Z06 ones for cheap and want to stick em in to replace my 98's that are getting kinda old and raggy looking..how close are they in flow??

Nice car BTW. Is it a 98 with an 02 block? Anyway, according to my post above, 2001-2004 LS1/LS6 injectors 28.5 lbs.-hr@4bar (58.02psi). So I think the 03's would be close in flow to your 98's. However, for your power level, try and get the 30lb SVO's. Heck, I may do the same, good investment for what we have both had done to our cars. I still have to get tuning, car has been at a friends shop since January, getting true duals possibly, and besides, I wouldn't be driving mine now anyway due to weather and salt in Ohio.

Thanks for the compliment man

My stock injectors have been fine, and a few of my friends with motors similar to mine were fine on the smaller 2000 year injectors even. I just wanted these new ones because I could't pass up the offer and wanted to replace my rails and injectors due to them being 6 years old now. Guess I'll just toss them on and see what happens
