Default #60 pound injector question?

With a 224x228 114LSA 581x588 lift cam, is this too much injector still or do you think it will be fine? I am also running 799 heads.

my opinion would be that's way too big of an injector... unless you have some sort of plans to run 500hp+ down the line, I think 30# injectors would be good for you.

What are your plans down the road? If you just have a cam 42#'s will be more than enough.

Well I am getting a really good deal on #60 pound injectors so thats why I was wondering. I would rather go with 42# injectors but I almost don't want to pass up the deal. I know a few people running 60# injectors on there bone stock engine with a Turbo and it drives great out of boost.

Maybe a dry shot of Nitrous in the future.

42's would be a much better choice. The 60's will probably work, but IF you can't get the pulsewidth low enough at idle, you MIGHT wind up with issues/problems...though due to what I've seen the 60's do, I think it'll probably be ok. I guess it depends how good a deal it is...and how quick you need it together...because there are a lot of other ways to find great deals on injectors in the 36-42 lb/hr range.

60s will work fine, they are a great injector.

It at least gives you the ability to run E85 if you ever wanted to.

Not to thread Jack, but i'm in a similar predicament myself..

I built a 383 with 11.5:1 comp. and a MS4 cam I did the calculations and I needed 55lb hr injectors.. So i bought 60's and my car doesn't idel for ****

My tuner is spending all day Saturday with the car.. hopefully he will get everything in spec.
