What is everyone using to bend SS hard line?
I'm just curious what ppl are using to bend their stainless hard line. I'm doing a 5.3 conversion on my Datsun, and I'll be installing a new fuel system. I want to use stainless hard line, and stainless / Teflon lined flex stainless. This is so I can use it for E85 in the future, if I so choose.
I'll be buying a 37 degree flaring tool, and probably a bender. I was just hoping to find one for rent.
All line will be -6 AN fwiw.
Cheers
Right now I'm in a bit of a dilema. I'd only have to make roughly 3 bends in the SS tube. So the added cost of the bender, plus the added fittings, and hassle, I'll likely just do SS braided, Teflon lined flex hose.
if you only need to make a few bends, i would get a coat hanger and do the best bend template you could with it. take that to a parker-hannifan store near you and they'll bend it up for you
