Default Fuel pressure regulator

Would a bad fuel pressure regulator cause my 98 LS1 to stall out every so often, I think the FPR has 188K on it....It is like it is staving for fuel and my voltage is fine now. Can't figure out why its stalling sometimes.

I have a 255 racetronix w/ hotwire kit....

It is possible, but most regulators either work or do not. You need a pressure gauge in the car to see what happens when it is about to stall. At least you can see if the pressure is falling. Otherwise it is speculation & you may waste time & labor changing a part that is not bad.
