Default fuel line blew off of fuel filter????

i recently replaced my fuel pump on my 2000 Z28. i primed the car a few times and the fuel line blew off of the fuel filter. i am sure that the plastic line was connected to the fuel filter well. it is possible that the plastic fuel line connector was damaged when i removed it before, i really don't know. i don't think you can buy these fuel lines or connectors anymore so what is the best solution? here are a few pictures so everyone can see what line i am referring to. looking into the connector it appears there is a yellow and an orange o-ring in place. if there is supposed to be anything else there it now isn't.

Looks like the plastic retainer has broken up.
Did you use the correct release tool when you removed it?

i used my fingers and pressed onto the plastic clip that is mounted on the fuel filter. i know this has been removed from the car before since i am not the original owner. anyways, maybe it is time to get a new hose and fitting.....

Make sure the retainer clips are lined up correctly with the hose end. The barbs on the retainer line up with the spaces on the hose end.
