fuel filter sock help asap

Im in the middle of installing my racetronix fuel pump everything is going smooth till i have to snap the filter sock onto the venturi conn at the bottom of the assembly any tips on how to seat this thing on there its being a bitc-

Its not the filter for the pump that went on easy,its the sock for the venturi fuel pickup at the bottom of the assembly 1/2" round metal looking thing.Racetronics directions are outstanding have no problems with that.

When removing that filter sock, use a small flat blade screw driver to gently separate it from the bottom of the bucket. Usually you cannot just pull it off, it will just tear the filter sock.

Im ready to call it quits man everything went like clockwork till this fnn sock wont snap on bought second one same fnn thing.Now while trying to tap it on the plastic cylander breaks typical cluster f---.So do i have now get whole new assembly?Cheapshit part cause alot of headache I need this car up and running this just sucks sorry for the rant but after a long work wk i was hoping something would go my way.

Lonnie your parts work awsome no problems its the gm parts that are giving me the headache.I got it resolved though I highly recommened lonnies great customer service and great products.Ill give you a call during the wk thanx again
