Default uh oh, broke injector retaining clip? help fast please.

I was changing my o-rings on my injectors, and snapped a little light brown piece on the manifold side of the injector. What is this, and better yet, can you get a new piece at autozone or something?

Also, I got 9/16" ID, 1/8" thick, 5/16" ID o rings from a hardware store. Will these work, or do I need special o-rings, that are oil resistant?

It mostly locates the o-ring.
Also helps deflect heat on a hot soak.
Do you have any old injectors to rob one from?
You can get injector o-ring kits from some parts stores that have the plastic tip as well.

Go to a compentent parts store, those A/Z you never know.
Is there a Napa or a car quest close?
Those type parts stores deal w/repair industry & generally there counter/parts people know more.
Explain that you want the platic tip covers /baskets, hell make him pull an injector off the shelf & show 'em what you want.
They got to have a picture guide to find it.
Once again this is where the experence helps.......

Thanks. Also, the injectors are p/n 12554271. To my knowledge, these are not factory injectors for an 01 zo6. Will these 25.2 lb injectors support the 415-430 rwhp the car makes safely?

Not sure why ARE would have changed to a smaller injector when they did the top end....?
