Default 00 LS1 VS 02 LS1 fuel injectors?

While I have the injectors off I wanna put the best ones back on. Im installing and ls6 intake, Ported throttle body. I already have an SPL Lid, 373 gears, drag shocks (3 way adj), Predator programer, 2800 stall, TB spacer, rebuilt trans w/ shift kit, Nitto 555s and Im spraying a 125 shot of dry nitrous.

Should I buy some Ls6 injectors or stick with the LS1s?

So could i just use the MAF sensor from an 02 to make the ECU compensate for the extra fuel with out having to get tuned?

The ECU is programed thinking it has a certain sized injector. If you put in a different size, using the sizes stated about 26# vs 29#, it will still open the 29# injector for the same period of time as the 26#, so you will get more fuel with the larger injector.

So, unless you get retuned...you will be running quite rich.

Makes a little more sense when you explain it like that! Im just exploring options since the closest tuner i can get to is hours away from me.

Ok then how about this, What if i change the ECU from my 00 and upgrade to the 02 ECU? Would that work?

Beyond the injectors, you are getting out of my realm of knowledge.

...but seems logical to me if you are running a '02 ECU that is programmed for 29# injectors that 29# injectors would be driven correctly.
