Default Running out of fuel

Ok I have a 383 with a ms3 cam and currently have a walbro 255 in tank and ford red top injectors. Well on the Dyno yesterday I maxed out the injectors and my tuner said I'm not far from maxing out the pump when I spray it. I'm wanting to hit it with a 200 shot through a plate off the rail. I'm thinking of going with some fast 46 to 50lb injectors but what should I do about my pump maybe replacing it with aeromotive stealth 340 or keeping the walbro and installing a in line t Rex or something. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm using the 340 aeromotive in my 88 ls6 turbo mustang making just under 600rwhp. I take it your running a dry shot if your needing a bigger injector? If so a 42lb injector should be enough with 58psi fuel pressure.

You never said how much power the car is making...
The 255 is good for at least 550rwhp.

A 200 shot will likely cause some pressure issues with the stock fuel system.

Please call if you would like to discuss your options.

I had kind of the same problem. I didn't max out the injectors though. I have 60lb injectors and had a 255l pump in the tank. My fuel pressure dropped at around 5200rpm on the dyno.......I bought this:

and put it in line with the intake 255l pump and problem solved!

Also, did you do the racetroniks wire harness with the in tank pump? The reason I ask is because the voltage increase you get with their wiring harness increases the amount of fuel from the pump significantly.

I didn't buy their harness because I made my own. Its not hard to do and is a lot cheaper!

No I just bought the walbro 255 and dropped it in. I didn't buy any kind of hot wire kit for it. Would that help with the pressure drop though. Cause man, it's hard to pull the trigger on the twin walbro setup

Ok I just got off the phone with Texas speed and they recommended the racetronics pump and hot wire kit with the racetronics 42lb injectors so I guess we will see how that does? Hope it works

The Walboro 255L pump is the racetronics pump and yes doing the hot wire would increase the amount of fuel. If you don't want to spend the money on the hot wire harness just build it yourself.......
