Default Fuel Pump Install Q's (about SAE30R6 and wiring)

and because thirgen.org is useless.

good year says not to use the sae30R6 fuel hose for EFI pressure side but another .doc says that its max and minimum burst pressures look like it would be ok. also, i just wanted to ask if the hose would be ok inside the tank.

also, with this walbro, im actually a little confused as to how to wire it..:

A) bypass the fuel line ground and wire it to original plug

B) tie it into all the stock grounds

30R6 is carb/PCV line
30R9 is EFI hose
30R10 is submersible EFI hose

Walbro kit should have an inline harness making it plug and play to the stock pump connector

1) You shouldnt ground to the fuel lines, ever

2) 3rd gens have 3 wires to the tank. 12v pump, fuel level signal, ground for both. If push comes to shove, tie into the 12v and ground. Youll have to order special shrink tubing because common will deteriorate in the tank much like common fuel hose

the walbro comes with a pigtail that plugs into the pump.

the stock ground goes from the pump, to the metal line on the sending unit, then from there to the plug. purple is the fuel level.

so i need 30r10, would autozone/advance carry those?

The ground tab pulls static electricity out of the line/tank and isnt the main ground. The one in the sender/chassis is what grounds it

Autozone might not have it but you can check. NAPA should

i have it right here... it goes from the stock tank connector, to the fuel line tab in the sender, then to the other connector. no separate ground wires for the pump and sender.
