idle is everywhere
All right, so I recently got my car tuned about a month ago, along with getting a new fuel filter and fuel pump. The car ran great for about 200 miles ( i made a 120 mile trip back to college ). Anyways, I was on empty and then I filled my tank up and drove the car home. I went to start it and got nothing. My battery seemed a little low, so I got my buddy to help me jump my car. It still wouldnt start. After 10 minutes of attempting to start the car (not continuously), the car finally fired up. The idle was everywhere and the car kept wanting to die out AND the service engine light went on. After running for about 2 minutes the car died out and then wouldn't start. I thought the gas might have water in it, so i went and got one of those bottles of HEET, and still got the same result. The car started then died, and wouldn't start again.
I called up the tuner and asked him what it might be and he said without knowing the codes, it sounds like the MAF. The MAF is only a few months old. So I'm reaching out to the LS1tech community into any info. that could be brought forward. I'm going to rent the diagnostic scanner from autozone tomorrow to hopefully get an accurate read on the codes, but any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
My dad seems to think there could be a loose wire from the fuel pump, which seems reasonable, but I don't have the time, space, or tools down at school to tear through my entire car.
Thanks for any answers.
