Default Fuel Pump opinions

New to the LS motor world and will be asking for opinions on lots of things...

first one: what is everyones opinion on which is the best in tank fuel pump to run on the street?

need to know info: stock ls1 with a cam. not sure what size cam

Racetronix gets my vote here. Youll havr mixed opinions but personally I have seent to many walbros fail.

Need more info on car and whats done to it already along with what you do with it. Drag car, dd, etc

+1 for racetronix. Good for around 600 N/A hp or so IIRC.

i run the aeromotive 340lph and hotwire. not a problem 550 with spray

How wild of a car are we talking about? The stock unit can handle quite a bit before you need to upgrade it...

You are right but a Racetronix or Wahlbro is cheaper anyway so if your stocker does crap out why not go ahead and upgrade????

thanks for the info, guys. the specs parks asked about are:

it is gonna be a dd, as far as he knows its a stock 346ci (bought car wrecked) dont know specs on the cam, but it does hit hard, it has a Fast intake with a Fast 78mm throttle body that has been ported, it has Kooks headers, and about a 4000 converter (guestimate). i dont know if it has a tune in it or not.

he's doing a V6 swap.... V8 internals into a V6 cab.

another question:

which gas tank to use? metal or plastic?
