Default Are 42's big enough

I have some Ford 42's. I'm planning to run 6-10psi on my stock block with a 72mm turbo on a z06 cam and springs. Will that be enough injector?

No you want 60s and if you plan on making more power down the road go 80+lbs it would save you time and money down the road. Im on my tried set of injectors lol

And the mods will be moving this thread for sure lol

Def not enough injector. Go with 60's at least like tomz28 said. I havn't bought mine yet, but I am torn between 60's or 80's. Planning on 550 to 600 RWHP, so 60's may be on the edge. You can always tune down on a bigger injector to an extent. You can't tune up on an injector thats maxxed out though. Just keep that in mind.

I have some for sale in my sig, they are low impedance though so you will need a driver. There are advantages of having low impedance injectors & if you ever wanna go really big you will most likely be buying low impedance injectors. The reason bigger injectors are usually low impedance is that they can open a lot faster.
Check out this link, its specifically refers to 60# injectors, & mine are cleaned & flow checked.

42lbers will get you in the 550-600 range. With the mods you listed above and the boost level you are stating you will be close. I would look at upgrading to the 60's as stated above if you ever plan on upping the boost.

The safe zone is anything under 88% IDC if I remember correctly. 110% means you need to be shopping for bigger injectors.

Lol, yeah we all start somewhere, live & learn. Check out how far I pushed my 57's, by accident of course. Fortunately I realized that my car should not accelerate that fast & let out. Its still living with the motor GM blessed it with, this thing must have nine lives lol!

Check out the 3rd column down in blue.

I heard something like since they are ford injectors, they are rated with a lower fuel pressure. And since the Fbody fuel pressure is higher that makes the injectors flow more...is this making any sense? I was told that the injector could be used safely up to 500 hp. If they are the ford injectors?

They flow about 48lb/hr at 58psi, and I would only take them to 500rwhp max on a 6sp car and 475 on a auto.

I thought that when you run a ford injector on an ls1 they have higher rating than ford gives them due to the higher fuel pressure?

So 42# fords should be like 50# in an ls1 ( I don't know ratio just guessing)

Am I wrong?

Injector flow is usually advertized @ 3 bar. Factory injectors may be different.
