Default fuel prime problems

So i have a ls 5.3l swap in my 79 chevy, im running a walbro255 fuel pump and a baffled tbi fuel tank.

TO START WITH THIS WALBRO PUMP PUSHING 55 PSI IS Soooooo loud!!

well my real issue is that i pulled up on a snow bank today, and let it run even being on that steep slope. i could hear a change in pump noise, and it ran the pump and sucked the line dry.

so i backed down and tried to reprime but couldnt get the normal high pressure sound im used to hearing, checked my pressure gauge.. 25 psi was all i was getting.

had to limp it home.
let it sit while i was at work, came back and tried again.. same issue.

its done this before but cleared out.
not sure if i need to pull the fuel inlet line and prime? or any ideas whats going on? im always having trouble with this pump
