corvette filter/regulator install

I am having trouble finding the regulator housing for my 1998 trans am so i decided i want to use a corvette fuel filter/regulator on my ta.
my regulator housing is made out of plastic and its located inside of the tank so anyways if i get a new one it will mess up again.

I am a college student and am in a budget

How difficult is to install it?

What do i need to buy to have it done?

What other options do i have?

does any one have a diagram pic i can follow?
